Verses 41-42 GROUP_1421 54.41-42
41
وَلَقَدْ جَاء آلَ فِرْعَوْنَ النُّذُرُ
Surely warners came to the people of Pharaoh.
42
كَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كُلِّهَا فَأَخَذْنَاهُمْ أَخْذَ عَزِيزٍ مُّقْتَدِرٍ
They, too, rejected all Our signs. So We seized them with the seizure of One Mighty, Omnipotent.

Commentary
(a) Pharaoh was a very powerful ruler of his time, but on rejecting the truth he became valueless in the eyes of God. Thereafter, he was killed like any other helpless man. In this world, a man standing out against the Truth renders himself weak.
